In the vast and resilient Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta, the phrase “Unwavering Support for Uncommon Heroes” is more than a motto — it is a promise. The VFW Auxiliary to Robert V. Lindsey Post 10041 lives this promise every day by standing beside veterans, their families, and the entire community. Whether it is helping with medical bills, organizing funeral assistance, or simply making sure no one feels alone after service, our values of loyalty and compassion guide everything we do.

This support takes many forms in our region. We provide direct donations for unmet family needs, host veterans’ dinners and luncheons, and partner with local organizations to fill gaps that government programs sometimes miss. In a place where travel to larger cities is difficult and expensive, these hands-on efforts make a real difference for elders, young families, and those still carrying the invisible wounds of war.

We invite every resident of Bethel and the surrounding villages to join this circle of support. You do not need to be a veteran’s relative to help — your time, your voice, or even a simple donation keeps our promise alive.
